This week, let’s ask God to help us see like He does, and then step out and act like He wants us to.
36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."
Matthew 9:36-38 (NIV)
How big a role does compassion play in your life and view of others?
Given the climate of America following the election, why is compassion for others so important?
How would adopting compassion change your perspective on how you think about others?
Jesus tells us that the ‘harvest’ is people and helping them discover a life-changing relationship with Him. Take some time now and list people that you know who need Jesus in their life.
Now, ask God to show you what He would have you do to help them better understand His love for them. It might be inviting them to a church service, out for coffee to chat, to your home for a meal, offering to babysit, help with a project – you get the idea.
As you ask God to speak, take enough time to really listen. Now lets go!
